Installing any Cubit Point of Sale (POS)

Introduction to Point of Sale on Cubit

Using Cubit supplies you with many options, not only are there vertical
software versions that works with your Basic Cubit Software but there
are also three different Point of Sale Systems already functional in
your main software.

Because there are so many choices you have to understand what the
options are in order to supply your client with the best solution to
their requirements.

In the main software there is a normal Point of Sale, Speed POS and
rental point of sale (3 types of POS).
Process: You can install only the main Cubit system and add a normal
user with access to Point of Sale - Or you can add a Speed Point of
Sale user and when that user logs in only a Point of Sale will be
visible. You can also add a Hire Controller user and give that user
access to the Hire Point of Sale only.


Additional Point of Sale (POS) Programs:
The steps to installing a basic functional Point of Sale system is
as follows:

1. Install the latest Cubit full Software on the Cubit Server
system
2. Create a company on the main Cubit system and create a normal
user with NO ACCESS permissions
3. Install the Required Point of Sale system on the Point of Sale
(Till) pc (Choose between any of the Retail POS, Wholesale POS,
Video POS, Rental POS, etc.)
4. Configure the POS (or till) with the IP number of the Cubit
server and also the other settings in the text file (as per the
documentation in the POS software)
5. Log in from the till / POS with the username and password
created on the main Cubit system.

The above is only a rough guide to understanding how to install
the basic system(s) and you should request training if you are
experiencing installation challenges.
