Back To Home
The Debtors ledger is updated each time a transaction is processed on a Customer's Account. When a customer is invoiced the individual Customer balance is increased with a debit entry whilst the Sales account is also increased with a Credit entry hence the double entry is completed. When the customer makes a payment the receipt that is recorded will update the customer's account with a credit entry therefore reducing the
customer's balance and the Bank or Cash on Hand account is increased with a debit entry.
